Some parts of Canada still change their clocks on the same schedule as the United States. However, provinces and territories set their own time rules, and several of them stopped changing clocks in 2026.

Changing the clock time doesn't change the amount of daylight time we have in a day, only it's relationship to our clocks. Naming time is arbitrary anyway, another way we try to control the natural order of things, our environment, what animals are allowed to live where, etc. It doesn't save energy, humans use energy 24/7. All animals work off natural light and my dogs and birds never get used to meal time changes. I don't, either! Let's get rid of it. Choose one and stick with it.
Well, it is TIME to send DST to the hinterlands. Let us be guided by the earth and sun and not by human manipulation.
Time to END it now. The golf courses have lights at night. The kids can carpool rides in the morning, most of them don't walk anymore, anyway, ///well , not in small towns & rural areas. If parents can drive for basketball games at night, they can adjust their times in the morning. Period.
end this crap and stay on sun time.
It seems that everybody is in favour of getting rid of daylight saving time, according to these comments, too bad the powers that be don’t listen to the majority population and get rid of it
Get rid of it!
They should just pick one and stick with it instead of the yearly back and forth.
Reading through many comments, I have yet to find one that mentions people on a strict medication schedule and how the change upsets this and we suffer for a few days to adjust to it. You cannot save time, let our God intended days and nights stay at EST!
It is way past time to stop this yearly nightmare!! Animals do not recognize this old archaic method, and takes humans weeks to adjust. Time takes care of it self. The days become longer and shorter naturally.
I grew up in a small country that had the same time zone throughout. When I moved here, DST was something strange to me. I don't like it, especially on those very, very dark mornings in winter. Frankly, I don't see any benefit of it at all. If it was meant to save energy, it has failed. We still use energy to heat homes, cool homes and drive to and from work, etc. The law needs to be repealed so we can enjoy the natural order of time and season that God provided for us.
The sun does not change when we work, how late we stay up or when we get up in the morning. During the daylight hours we enjoy the sun and all it gives us. If a company wants to have workers in at a specified time then that is what they do. If you come to work in the dark some of the year so what. We need to stop trying to change and control everything in the world and just adapt to the changes around us. This year lets just go back to Standard and leave it there forever.
