Types
Specialty varieties of peace lilies are not very easy to come by in most garden centers, though they have been growing in popularity. You may have more success ordering them from an online source.
- Spathiphyllum wallisii is a smaller peace lily, reaching only 12 inches tall.
- ‘Petite’ is smaller still, at approximately 8–10 inches.
- ‘Sensation’ is the largest variety available, capable of growing up to 4–6 feet in height and width.
- ‘Domino’, is a medium-sized variety with attractively variegated leaves.
- ‘Mojo Lime’, which has lime-green foliage, is another medium-sized peace lily.

Normally, when a Peace Lily isn't blooming, we advise that you repot and divide in the spring, but it sounds as if you've done that. I hope you replanted in pure humus or very high humus potting medium.
Another reason that peace lily plants do not bloom is lack of sunlight. Is it in a low light area? For a peace lily to flower, it does need bright light (though indirect, not burning focused light). A north or east window with curtains filtering the light would be a good bet. Be patient as the plant is probably emerging from dormancy but we hope you see a flower by the end of spring. We do love peace lily plants for their green foliage, too, but all the best on some bloom!
Oh! We can imagine your surprise, but also how interesting! In the wild swamps where peace lilies grow naturally, frogs love to sing for their mates from the peace lily. It's a common "calling" site and also a place for egg laying. (You may want to look closely at the base of your plant!) When people have dart frogs as pets, they often put a peace lily in the tank.
