How to Properly Display the American Flag

I have heard that star is cut out or a flag that need to be disposed of, and given to a active military service member as a thank you for their service. That being said can we at the American Leigon Post cut out stars, and have our members give a star, as well as a card thanking a veteran we see in a very small sealed plastic clear envelop for them to keep with them. Thank You, and please reply.
If a Mexican Restaurant only has one flag staff but wants to fly the Mexican flag along with the U.S. flag that is already has flying is it appropriate to fly the Mexican flag under the U.S. flag as it's the flag of another nation? Should there be a difference in sizes of flags? Should they only be flown on separate staffs?
Why is it ok for the United States Post Office to display the American Flag backwards on the “Star-Spangled Banner” forever stamp?
I fly the flag 24 hours a day (illuminated at night). On days when the flag should be flown at half staff, at what time should it be lowered to half staff and at what time should it be raised to full staff?
Additionally, if the flag should be flown at half staff for more than one day, e.g. upon the death of the President or a former President, should the flag stay at half staff for the entire duration or should it be lowered and raised at a specific time each day?
Hi, Clint: A good rule of thumb is to lower it no sooner than half an hour before sunrise and as soon thereafter as possible. It should be raised no later than half an hour before sunset and as soon thereafter as possible. Yes, it would remain at half-staff for the duration of the period. For example, if you knew that (your lit) Old Glory was going to be at half-staff on Tuesday and Wednesday, you would lower it at ""sunrise" on Tuesday and raise it at "sunset" on Wednesday. Thanks for asking!
Is it ok to fly a flag half-staff for police dog.
