How to Properly Display the American Flag

Hi, Charles: This is hard to answer without knowing how the flags fly in relation to the mailbox and road, but if they are in a fan configuration, Old Glory would be on the left, then Texas, then Betsy Ross. If the fan were parallel to the road, Old Glory would be on the left. If it were perpendicular to the road, such as atop the box itself, then Old Glory would be closest to the road. Thanks for asking!
Hi, Gil: It's OK to say "hang the flag." You are great to wonder and ask about this, but when it gets down to it, folks can describe the action any way they like... the important thing is to get Old Glory up there and flying. There may be a little confusion here due to the difference between the past tenses of "hang," with a flag or painting or other object being "hung," while an unfortunate person is "hanged." Thanks for being so patriotic to ask!
