How to Properly Display the American Flag

Hi, Janet: We assume that you are referring to a bronze disk that is embedded in the ground, in which case directly behind the middle of it would be preferred. If that is not possible, then placing Old Glory to the left of the headstone or in front of the left edge of the headstone, both when viewed from in front, are also possibilities. Thanks for caring so much to ask!
Hi, Donald: Your point is well taken, although it's always important to remember that it's the thought that counts. FYI, in other such cases where a condo or homeowners association has proven unwilling or unable to treat such flags respectfully, small groups of patriotic residents have taken matters—and flags—into their own hands by becoming calm and quiet flag vigilantes who police the property to stand Old Glories back up or otherwise allow them their proper respect, often saying silent thanks to those in uniform past and present each time they do so. Thanks for being so patriotic to ask!
