How to Properly Display the American Flag

Hi, Rudy: First of all, thank you so much for your service. Your flags can be mounted in a number of ways, as long as Old Glory is either higher or to the left of USMC (or both, although that is not necessary) when viewed from the street. So, both could be mounted on the left (street view) of your front door with Old Glory above and USMC directly below. Or, both to the left of the door at same level with Old Glory to left (street view) of USMC. Or, one on each side of door, same level, Old Glory to left (street view). From a technical standpoint, as long as Old Glory was to the left (street view) of USMC, they both could be mounted at the same level anywhere on your home, including at the far right (street view), but that is simply not done unless it is the only option. Thanks for being so patriotic to ask!
Hi, Guard: These would be displayed as though the U were flattened out, with the now nearest left becoming farthest left, the now middle left becoming second from left, and the now back left remaining where it is. The other side would be the opposite. In other words, you would imagine the arms of the U to be swung backward to align with Old Glory. Following the order of precedence for such a straight line with smaller flags, the order of precedence for the present U, going clockwise from near left, would be: USA, USMC, USN, Old Glory/POW, USAF, USCG, USSF (Space). Thanks for caring so much to ask!

Hi, Ray: It is fine to fly Old Glory from the back of a pickup alongside other flag(s) of any type (this is what Freedom of Speech means). If such is the case, then Old Glory should be to the right when viewed from behind the vehicle. Old Glory as an actual flag should not be worn as an article of clothing, but clothing that resembles Old Glory or has her image is also OK, again thanks to Freedom of Speech. Thanks for caring so much to ask!
