Potatoes and cheese go together like, well, potatoes and cheese! This quick and easy Potato Gratin is rich and creamy—no one will ever know how simple it was to throw together.

2 cups whole milk
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon butter
2 large baking potatoes, peeled and sliced thinly
1/4 cup grated Parmesan

Preheat broiler and grease four 4-ounce ramekins. Boil milk and stir in seasonings and butter. Add potatoes and simmer for 10 minutes. Place ramekins onto a baking sheet, spoon potato mixture evenly among ramekins, sprinkle with grated Parmesan, and heat under broiler for 5 to 7 minutes.
