Sour cream in fudge? Yes! Our Sour Cream Fudge is a mouthwateringly creamy light candy that makes a tasty gift around the holiday season (...or any time of year!). Incredibly delicious, no one will be able to guess what your secret ingredient is!

We added walnuts, but you may use other nuts (or not!).

Ingredients
4-1/2 cups brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups sour cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
  1. Butter a shallow baking dish.
  2. Combine sugar, salt, and sour cream. Cook to the soft ball stage (when a bit of mixture dropped into a cup of cold water forms a soft ball— between 235 and 245 degrees on a candy thermometer).
  3. Cool slightly and add vanilla. Beat until thick and creamy, then add nuts.
  4. Pour into buttered dish. When slightly cool, cut into squares.
