When baking a peach pie or an apple cobbler, it can be challenging to determine how many pounds of fruit you need to purchase and prepare for the recipe. Our fruit handy conversion chart makes it easy to answer questions like “How many peaches are in a cup?” and “How many strawberries are in a pound?”

The following table lists the amounts of fruits in relation to measuring cup equivalencies.

Apples1 pound (3 or 4 medium) = 3 cups sliced
Bananas1 pound (3 or 4 medium) = 1–3/4 cups mashed
Berries1 quart = 3–1/2 cups
1 pound= 3 cups
Dates1 pound = 2–1/2 cups pitted
Lemon1 whole = 1 to 3 tablespoons juice; 1 to 1–1/2 teaspoons grated rind
Lime1 whole = 1–1/2 to 2 tablespoons juice
Orange1 medium = 6 to 8 tablespoons juice; 2 to 3 tablespoons grated rind
Peaches1 pound (4 medium) = 3 cups sliced
Pears1 pound (4 medium) = 2 cups sliced
Rhubarb1 pound = 2 cups cooked
Strawberries1 quart = 4 cups sliced
1 pound = 2 3/4 cups sliced
