Sweet Potato Biscuits


1 cup flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup cooked sweet potatoes, mashed
3 tablespoons shortening
1/2 cup milk


Sift dry ingredients together. Add mashed sweet potatoes, mix well. Cut in shortening and gradually add enough milk to make a soft dough. Roll dough out lightly on a floured surface to 1-3 inch thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter. Place in a greased pan and bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
